Memorial Weekend

If you are in Albion this weekend be sure to stop at the fairgrounds, Beef and Sheep/Goat Show in the livestock barns at the fairgrounds plus a "Mini" Bull ride on Sunday. The new speaker system will be used this weekend in the livestock barns and in the grandstand Friday night for the races. Chuck Rolf

New Wash Rack

The cover over the wash rack is complete.  We are still discussing lighting for under the cover.

Mike M has been busy working at the fairgrounds hanging sponsor signs.  Fairview Lanes, Simply Cellular, Cornerstone Bank & Insurance Group, Green Line Equipment, AgVenture, and 106 Kix Country are up.
 
He also helped Out of the Blue Entertainment install the new sound system for the grandstands, which sounds great.

2010 fun books

2010 Fun Books are on sale for the Boone County Fair, Albion, NE. Available 5-7 P.M. at the fairgrounds office May 17-21 and May 24-28.

Mowing

Dan Z. is keeping the fairgrounds looking great with spring mowing duties.  With all the events we have scheduled this summer, Dan has his work cut out for him.  

This summer he will be working on the Petting Zoo building along with possibly painting the west livestock barn - if time and weather allows.

Walnut or Cedar Trees

If you know of anyone removing walnut or large cedar trees, please let Chuck Rolf or any fair board member know. It would be nice to have them for Papa Bear Wood Carvings.

Over the next two weeks, May 17th thru May 21 and May 24 thru May 28th, Fun Books and carnival tickets are available at the fairboard office from 5pm to 7pm.
